In order to improve employees' safety awareness and emergency response ability in case of working in confined space, SANTACC Energy organized a rescue drill in confined space on the afternoon of April 29, 2021.Directors, team monitors and more than 70 front-line production workers from workshop directly participated in the drill.
The drill simulated the accident that the front-line workers were in a coma due to lack of ventilation while welding inside the tank. First of all, the monitoring worker standing outside the tank immediately reported the finding, immediately took the emergency rescue plan. The rescue team quickly arrived at the scene of the accident, at once executed the alarming line, first aid dispatch vehicle, on-site ventilation, gas detection, tank rescue, on-site self-rescue, transfer to the hospital, etc. All the links were tacit cooperation and the drill scene was realistic and the process was tense and orderly, drill lasting 25 minutes.
After the drill, SHE department analyzed and summarized the existing deficiencies and improved the rescue measures. The drill demonstrated to the front line workers the correct process, operation matters and the right use safety protective equipment in confined space, enhanced the risk prevention awareness and the ability of self-rescue and mutual rescue in the face of emergency, and achieved a ideal drill effect.
